I am involved with a variety of community-based groups, combining professional skills and experience, to help them establish themselves or grow or become sustainable. Including starting the Broughton and Croxton village fete in 2002 and being involved with the Eccleshall Eagles Junior Football Club.
I am heavily involved with sports-based groups and was involved in the Olympic Legacy events locally in 2013 and with Sport Stafford Borough since 2011.

I have been an elected representative for the area since 2001 - initially firstly on Eccleshall Parish Council (- until the May 2011 elections), then on Stafford Borough Council (from May 2011) and Staffordshire County Council (from May 2017). The communities are quite diverse, yet strangely there is a commonality to them and their people, with an innate beauty to the area, which should be celebrated.
I have sought to champion the issues and concerns that affect local people, as varied as they are - from day to day issues, through to the more strategic in nature. Some of the projects that I have been involved with have affected a small number of people, right the way through to ground breaking - please feel free to browse some of them.
